Anna and Kohl had a perfect spring day at their Dayton Art Institute wedding. We loved being able to photograph their special day with them and their friends and family. These two have not had an easy ride leading up to their wedding day. COVID, other unfortunate reschedules, and the nerves of weather did not change their sunny outlook. Their Dayton Art Institute wedding went off without a hitch and they had the best day with friends and family.

I absolutely love the sentimental details from their big day. Anna hand designed the invitation suite, her and her mom cross-stitched all the table numbers, and her best friend pinned her wedding veil in to pay homage to her late grandmother. It truly felt so special, unique, and true to Anna and Kohl. AND of course they brought their pups for a few photos too!

The Dayton Art Institute is a great place for a wedding because the guest experience is so unique. They walk through art galleries to enter into the ceremony space (which of course is gorgeous in its’ own right). Following the ceremony, they make their way to the interior courtyard which is adorned with a beautiful fountain and the prettiest sunset light. Lastly, they enter through the large stained-glass doors to get to the reception space where they danced the night away.

As Emma Miller painted a custom painting of the ceremony, guests told stories of Anna and Kohl and there was laughter that echoed throughout the space.
