Ali and Clay had the most stunning Ashbourne Farms wedding. Planned and designed by the incredible Shelby with White Cat Weddings, their day came together beautifully. The weather was perfect, the smiles were abundant, and everything was exceptional from start to finish.
Ashbourne Farms is a stunning property to host a wedding. Its sprawling land, farm to table culinary program, and gorgeous show barn, are incredible aspects to this Kentucky venue. The incredible equestrian horses on-sight are an added bonus. They even pop their heads out sometimes to say hello!
As for the fashion for this Ashbourne Farms wedding, Ali traveled to Kleinfelds in New York City to find her dream gown. She hand-selected this jaw-dropping Pnina Tornai; the initial dress was a form-fitting satin mermaid gown, but Ali felt like she needed to add some pizazz to it. She added a statement overskirt to her dress that she chose to wear during the ceremony and a few portraits. It was definitely a welcomed addition to her gorgeous bridal look. As for her getting ready outfit, she chose to wear her late grandmother’s wedding robe. It was vintage, feminine, and a special nod to her family ties.
Ali and Clay opted for no first look so his first time seeing her was as she walked down the aisle as the sun was setting behind them overlooking the property. The overflowing floral arch centered the space as their 450 guests watched from the ceremony lawn. Ali giggled her way through the ceremony – so clearly in love with Clay. It was so special to witness.
Following the ceremony, we explored the property for a bit of bride and groom portraits. Ali and Clay wanted to join cocktail hour so we made sure that candids of them with their guests were the priority! Hosted on the expansive outdoor patio adorned with string lights, tents for shade, and gorgeous florals, the cocktail hour was buzzing.
This Ashbourne Farms wedding continued into the night as guests transitioned into the stunning show barn, where receptions are typically held. Because Ali and Clay chose a cocktail style reception, they opted for flexible seating options with no formal sit down dinner. Ashbourne Farms created several stations throughout the entire venue with different small bite options for guests. Trust me – no guest went hungry – the food was abundant and delicious!
As the live band started, the party did not stop. Ali, Clay, and their friends and family started dancing early and continued through the sparkler exit. The band was upbeat and made sure all guests were having the time of their life. It was epic to watch as they tossed Ali and Clay into the air!
